Thinking of you

Sometimes one reads something that is so apt for the current emotion or energy.....

"have you really not noticed then, that here of all places, in this private, personal solitude that surrounds me, I have turned to you? All of the memories of my youth speak to me as I walk, just as the sea shells crunch under my feet on the beach.
The crash of every wave awakens far-distant reverberations within me. I hear the rumble of bygone days, and in my mind the whole endless series of old passions surge forward like the billows. I remember my spasms, my sorrows, gusts of desire that whistled like the wind in the rigging, and vast vague longings that swirled in the dark like a flock of wild gulls in a storm cloud.
On whom should I lean, if not you? My wary mind turns for refreshment to the thought of you as a dusty traveller might sink onto a soft grassy bank.

You stole my soul!

As many may know I have closed my office in Monticello and have taken a bit of a sabbatical to work on my personal journey to health and this is what I wrote due to that:

Dear mother,

You gave me a body to journey through this world and supplied little else. Your breast was denied me and with it, colostrum, taurine and nurturing! The good bacteria inoculation at birth would have been free, but you couldn't give that, instead you gave me psychological damage and many valuable lessons to learn...an education well earned!!

I even doubt the thought of feeding my brain with fish oils entered your mind, instead you fed it with doubt, fear and uncertainty.

The joys of childhood escaped as you watched and blamed not yourself but me.

................thank you for being the vessel of my birth as I now turn to my true mother, the one that nurtures, sustains my life, cares and embraces me, mother earth.

Thanksgiving!

There is a whole history behind celebrating this day and I appreciate that. It is not celebrated anywhere else in the world as far as I know but I do like the concept of taking a day to be thankful.

This is a year for me to be thankful as I have been blessed with so many wonderful things.

I am thankful that this year is almost over, when I think about all the turmoil it brought.
I am thankful that this year did bring so much turmoil and that it challenged me to change, grow and throw out all the old belief systems and the old baggage that was holding me back.
I am thankful for my old baggage because the weight of it brought me here and brought with it an opportunity to choose differently.

I am thankful for all the wonderful people in my life and for the true love I have found.
I give thanks to all my past relationships that have helped mold me into who I am and have helped me discern the qualities I wish for when choosing who I spend time with.

I am thankful for the little things that make my life a pleasure and create memorable days, like sunshine and flowers and flushing toilets and running water and the ocean and birds and laughter and all my senses....really the list goes on and on.

This thanksgiving day I cannot help but reflect on the many ways my life has shifted and changed since the last thanksgiving and I am left in awe of how grateful I am for it all. For all the tears and discomfort and all the conversations and healing. For bumping my head against the same issues and finally realizing the way to embrace and move past it all. For all the people who shared and cared with me and for me, and for all those that passed through my world and made a difference, knowingly or not. I am thankful that this day was created to hopefully help shift consciousness into a state of gratitude en mass, even if just for a day.

I wish to give thanks to this world and all its opportunities that it brings to help me be the perfect, whole and complete being that I have always been.

Remember that life is so much richer when we focus on the things that we are thankful for and everyday is the perfect day to do so. May this thanksgiving shed more light on gratitude and thankfulness than ever before.

Taking time for me..

This has been an incredible year filled with lots of tears and changes, as well as laughter and travelling.

Why do we always wait for a crisis to make decisions that would have been made a lot easier if we did them in a timely manner?
I love what I do but have been starting to feel burned out and in need of a break. I obviously did not think that I deserved it on some level and did not pay enough attention to it. Finally the Universe (as I call the forces that be) created an opportunity for me to make a choice.
I felt kinda pushed into it and a whole fountain of emotions ensued.

Guilt is such a useless emotion that really does not serve anyone (my opinion). If we act in any manner of our choice, why feel guilty about it?....is it because of the reaction of others?...and are you to be held responsible for that?...
I put those thoughts out there because that was the strongest emotion I felt when I decided to close my office and take time of for me. I felt guilty for abandoning all my clients. For thinking of myself first.

Fortunately for me I do have practitioners that I see for my own care and with their gifts and guidance I have been reminded of the term 'healer heal thyself' and that I deserve to take time for me.

My advice is to take the time you need to care for yourself and to recharge your batteries and be able to come back with more light and energy. This is the best service you can offer anyone else.
It gives everyone around you permission to do the same and to be able to do it without the guilt.

This short sabbatical will allow me to focus on my passion for health and healing of the subtle bodies that make up our whole being. I can read all those books and write to my hearts content and never feel like I have to be somewhere or worry about this one or that one and all their health concerns. I free all of you to take responsibility for your health and to do what you think is right for you, I certainly am and I am proud of it.

Swindlers everywhere..

Seriously,

I cannot believe that there are people out there devising elaborate schemes to swindle you out of money. I would think that if they spent as much time and effort doing an honest days work that they would be pretty successful, but I guess they get way more satisfaction and excitement causing someone else misery.

The latest is a sweepstakes competition allegedly from Microsoft in the Netherlands to say that you have won thousands of Euros and a laptop......Yipee...that is until you call Microsoft headoffice here and ask if they know anything about this and they laugh and say do not pay any attention to it, it is a hoax!!

The red flag did get a nudge when the email arrived but I thought, what the hell, lets see where this goes. I then get an email from Worldwide International courier stating that due to the large sum of money, an insurance policy is covering it and the cost of shipping it to me is my responsibility and will be about 500 Euro.....The red flag could not stop waving!!!
And it was best to be sent through their accredited Western Union or money gram as they can pick it up the same day and get your prize to you quicker as bank wires take three days!!

Like I said, an elaborate scheme and all over email! How do you as the average Joe trace that and how can it be authenticated?

I still blows my mind that there are people out there that think honesty is NOT the best policy and if you are stupid enough to send someone your money then its your loss and their gain.
I trust that the wheel does turn and that one turn indeed does deserve another!!

Good luck to all you swindlers, may your day come!!

H1N1...what??

Seriously,

Every year at this time when the seasons change everyone gets a cold. There is sneezing, wheezing, coughing and little red noses. And every year there is a huge media hype about swine flu and some pending epidemic.
Why are the pharmaceutical Industry and the media such great bed pals? Here are some of my thoughts and questions to ponder on:
Who spends the most money on advertising and still has the largest marketing budget in today's economy? And who stands to loose the most money when opposing these giant spenders?

Is a vaccine created before or after a pending epidemic is advertised? From my observations it seems that a vaccine is created and then the market for it gets created via the media and medical Industry and then the fear tactics start, to ensure that everyone rushes to get the vaccine to avoid the pandemic, and that is a smoke screen for the pharmaceutical Industry to make more money.
I, frankly am so tired of all the idiots that buy into all of this and that cannot think for themselves. When in doubt research, ask questions and get educated/informed. With so many avenues to be informed out there, it just shows your ignorance if you trust your personal wellbeing to money giants that really DO NOT give a hoot about how many fatalities/ill effects there are, as long as they make their money.

Vaccines have been such a controversial issue for so many years and today there are many
medical professionals that have said that the risk for the H1N1 vaccine is too high and they will not get the vaccine themselves or recommend it to any of their family.

It is healthy to get a cold at least a few times a year to shake up the Immune system. I am not saying all colds are harmless.....that really depends on the health of the individual inflicted, or rather, the health of their immune system, amongst other things. But to target small children who's immune systems are not even properly formed yet or old people who already have compromised immune systems is indicative of the greed that is fueling our health system currently. These bedfellows feed on the fear that they create to line their pockets.

When we allow our fears to take over we tend to believe anything no matter how preposterous it would seem to us normally. What a great way to control the masses. It has been a success for many centuries. Religion uses it, world powers use it, even kids on the play ground use it, and why should pharmaceutical giants not use it.
The question is, are you going to allow fear to erode everything....erode your health and the health of all those you love. When is this fear mongering going to reach a point where you say STOP, enough, I AM in control???

More bits and pieces...

AS you read this try to remember that it is my opinion and you should take it with a grain of salt, use your own filtering system. Take what you want from it and discard the rest.....digest it as you will!

I wanna talk about creation.....our birth right!!!

As I mentioned I am of the mind that we are all creators. I also feel that to create something comes from being inspired.....
Lets break that down. In spired..... In spirit, meaning the spirit is in you/you are in spirit, both are one.

Lets all create from the spirit within us.

Now, this may be the tricky part as many have not yet connected with the spirit within them selves. They may never take the time to slow down long enough to go within. One of the most widely used techniques is through the breath. Focusing on our breath and our breathing takes us out of our minds and brings us back into our bodies. Breathing is supposed to be natural and we all do it everyday anyway. The key is to do it properly...and on to the next bit...

To create, in my mind, starts with finding the unique spirit within you and allowing it to flow.
When you discover your spirit, it is a direct line to the Universe/God/Source/Light, whatever feels right for you.

It is our job to get in touch with our essence and to move beyond all the trained responses and lies we have come to make our own. We are all amazing creators as children and as we grow and listen to others we move further away from the spirit and truth within ourselves. We are taught what to think, how to feel, or rather how not to feel.

I, for one am going back to basics. I am going to find the spirit within myself and listen to its truth and pretend like I did as a child and create my world anew.
